Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past few days, you’ll know about the Planet Earth 2 iguana.
In a nightmarish sequence which depicted new-born marine iguanas (yes, they’re a thing), on their way from land to sea to be reunited with their for-some-reason-absent parents, against a horde of snakes (also yes, hordes of snakes are a thing), one plucky little chap stood out.
Having seen his iguana brethren ambushed and rather horrifyingly murdered by the waiting snake horde, this guy ventured out for his own date with destiny.
We all know what happened next; our hero was chased down, wrapped up, K.I.A, yet somehow escaped to safety in one of the best bits of television anyone has ever witnessed.
This being 2016, and the Internet our ruling overlord, the great iguana chase has now been dubbed over with some Lionel Messi commentary:
So there we go: Messi Iguana is a thing. *Insert joke about him being chased by Fabian Delph and Raheem Sterling here.*
