Lassana Diarra has been ordered to pay an eye watering £6.8 million to his former club Lokomotive Moscow after it was deemed that he had breached his contract by leaving the Russian side in 2014.
The 31-year-old, who will be part of France’s Euro 2016 squad this summer, left Lokomotive after a dispute concerning a pay cut.
The Court of Arbitration also hit Diarra with a 15-month ban and salary suspension which he is deemed to have already served.
This certainly makes an annoying parking fine not seem too bad!
