WELCOME TO LATE TACKLE

We were hoping to be celebrating a World Cup final win for the Lionesses in this edition but, sadly, it wasn’t to be as Spain took the spoils.

On the day the Spaniards were the stronger side, but Sarina Wiegman and her squad can be mighty proud of their efforts.

Their deeds will have inspired the next generation of girls, and boys, and that is a legacy no-one can take away from them.

Ariana Rubio takes a look at the growth of the women’s game in this edition.

Elsewhere, we examine Harry Kane’s decision to leave Tottenham for a new challenge in Germany with Bayern Munich and also pay tribute to the late, great Trevor Francis.

With articles on a whole range of topics, we hope there is something for everyone.

Thanks again go to all our contributors.

If you fancy writing for the magazine please get in touch. You can send submissions and ideas to latetackle@ hotmail.co.uk

We read everything that comes in and use the best stuff each issue. Please do remember that as the magazine is printed only every six weeks or so, we can’t use time-sensitive pieces.

That aside, the main rule is there are no rules: as long as your piece is about football (pretty crucial, that) and on the right side of legal, we’ll consider it for publication.

We just want stuff that is interesting, funny, poignant, insightful, or maybe even all four.
