LOOKING forward to the festive football? Don’t get too excited – if the last few years are anything to go by, there probably won’t be any.
Snow, floods, ice and rain have wreaked havoc on the winter programme, with undersoil heating and shovel-wielding supporters proving no match for nature’s wrath.
Is it global warming? Are the ice caps melting? Is the jet stream failing? Maybe, but it’s certainly nothing new.
