THEY say you should never meet your heroes – words which have encouraged me to resist the urge to camp outside the PFA offices in Manchester, where Martin Buchan still works as a PFA Executive. And besides, as a 51-year old, that really wouldn’t look good.
Buchan was my favourite United player when I was growing up in the 1970s and there was always something so utterly admirable about him.
